Probable Gilded Flicker160 viewsThis was the bird that I saw with Rick Fridell on the 9th near the houses. Note the elongated bars on the flanks, and the brownish colored crown against the gray face. Lytle Ranch, Beaver Dam Wash, Washington County, Utah. February 9, 2008Feb 12, 2008

Probable Gilded Flicker119 viewsWhile guiding several photographers in the orchard this bird flew past and landed nearby. I didn't think this was the same bird as seen on the 9th with Rick Fridell, but it was different lighting and the bird was more obscured in the tree it landed in.
